Apparently not to Saia Motor Freight. Their Mission Statement reads:
“Provide the best in class regional service defined by our Customer Service Indicators with cost-effective processes in an environment that respects employees and recognizes excellence.”
Unfortunately we believed them. When shipping our raw ingredients, we asked Saia to not break down or double stack our pallets. The photos below exemplify their response.

Saia took it upon itself to re-stack our pallet, damaging several boxes in the process.
I guess they hoped we wouldn’t notice. We did.
We sent these photos to Richard D. O’Dell, Chief Executive Officer of Saia Motor Freight, along with their mission statement and, of course, received no response. “Recognizing excellence” indeed. Avoid using Saia Motor Freight at all costs no matter their mission statement says.
